Please use this article: The Man From Tennessee

Newspaper articles keep readers informed about current events. One event, probably a two on a scale of ten, is about a book that was recently published by Xulon Press.

The title, “The Man From Tennessee,” might make some people think the book is about Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash or maybe Roy Acuff. Surprisingly, it is about James Reesor, a resident of Nashville since 1962.

James is not famous, but he was a candidate for governor in Tennessee in 1974 when Ray Blanton was elected. Another urge to get into politics led him to become a candidate for mayor in Nashville when Bill Purcell was elected in 1999.

The book shows photos of James at different times in his life on the front cover and making a comical face on the back – when posing with his wife Melissa and son Harrison. The words above the photo – “Buy This Book! We Need Your Money!” – explains why publicity is needed.

“The Man From Tennessee” was written by “The World Famous Anonymous Author” – which many assume to be James Reesor himself.  The book is biographical with information about experiences and ideas that made him unique. It can be ordered online or from local bookstores.

Most notably, readers will learn how James became the owner of the “Music City USA” state trademark, why he has several web sites filled with messages in the name of “Tennessee Elijah,” and why he is a radical, “right-wing Christian” who uses the acronym “JIGROP” as a message for “sinners.”

James hand-delivered “press release” information to reporters at several Tennessee newspapers recently – Bellevue, Nashville, Gallatin, Lebanon, Murfreesboro and Smyrna – asking them to do a book review. They failed to cooperate.

As you can see, we decided to be kind. Knowing thousands of people dream about writing a book someday, when one is published, we think it’s newsworthy – especially since James claimed to be “Elijah incarnate” for over thirty years, sending out messages from God for this “final generation.”
